A Child's Reading disposition

It is extraordinary how different things are today then when I was a child. It is approximately scary how things have changed over the past twenty years. Technology has vastly changed. I didn't even have a computer when I was growing up. Now, they are a part of daily life. There are cell phones, iPods, greatest video games, mp3 players, and Gps. It blows my mind how all things has dramatically changed. This is also the case in how a lot of parents like to teach their children.

When I was young, it was all about having potential time with the family. A lot of families find it hard for time together these days. We seem to think that there is not sufficient time in a day to do all things that we should. It is time for us to remind ourselves that we need to start taking time for what is leading to us. I don't know about you, but the main things in my life, are my children. I want them to be the best that they can be and I want to be able to share in every moment.

A lot of teaching and learning time now takes place on the couch or in front of the television. It is time that we go back in time, just a little. We need to help our children straight through the learning process. We need to show them that learning is important, and we need to do it correctly.

I know that in my household, we start teaching our children this very early. We like to have a house reading time, no matter how old the children are. We turn off the television and snuggle up together so that everyone can see the story book. My three small girls love this. It gives them time with everyone in the house and we get to go on an adventure together. They look send to this time everyday. Sometimes we even take turns with who is going to read that night. My two older children are so interested in learning how to read that we feel it is leading for them to keep trying. It is fun to listen to them sound out the words and try to turn the tone of their voices to match the different characters. Watching them grow and learn in a more traditional way is great.

I know a lot of citizen who use their television set as a teacher, no matter how old the children are. Yes this is an easy way out in the busy world that we live in, but the children miss out on so much. They need the personal touch that a house member can bring to the learning experience. Now, I am not trying to knock the shows that are on the television. My children have also watched a lot of the extraordinary children's shows that are on. They have learned a lot from them. We take what they learn from them and try to make a game out of it so that they can use what they have learned.

Remember that there is not one magical retort to everything. We need to find the niche that fits our children and work with it. My children like the snuggle time without the television on. That has been what works best in helping our children learn how to read. It also has a lot to do with habit and how you have done things in the past.

Just remember that reading is very leading in a children's life, no matter what age they are. Experiment with different techniques and see what works best for you in your home. There is no right or wrong way for children to learn the joy of reading as long as they have the preserve of their parents to help them along.

Things To Do With A movable Phone

Mobile phone deals convert all the time, and new handsets are appearing at a rate of knots. If you're a gadget freak, you'll feel the impulse to get the newest shiny new phone with the newest technology...but what could you do with your old phone?

The positive one is to sell it on eBay. If it's a covenant phone you could end up getting quite a bit of behalf out of it as people are all the time finding out for cheap phones. If it's unlocked and open to any network it's even better. Along the same lines, there are sites that allow you to trade your old handset in for cash, although you may not gain as much as from Ebay this way. Or if you're genuinely kind, give it to a family member - there's all the time at least one relative hankering after gadgets but not wanting to buy their own. Possibly as a cheap Christmas present...

Sending it to a enterprise for recycling is an option growing in popularity. These clubs test all the handsets they receive and send the working ones to poorer countries, to people who can't afford brand-new handsets. The ones that don't work are recycled and made into other things such as children's toys. The aim of these clubs is to reduce the waste in landfill sites, thus reducing the damage to the environment.

It is possible to convert an old phone into a walkie-talkie or Mp3 player by buying a few uncomplicated pieces of equipment, so if your old handset has a great capacity for music or you just like the look of it, keep it colse to and useful. Alternatively, keep it for the torch or camera function if they're good enough.

Then there are the more fun things to do.
